ZimZee Recruiting is looking for a Firmware Engineer in the Dallas, Texas area, to join a dynamic team in aircraft avionics, automotive systems, and IoT-enabled home technologies. This role offers the opportunity to drive projects from concept to completion, working on cutting-edge technologies and integrating Bluetooth® solutions into innovative products.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Senior-level expertise in embedded software/firmware development
• Proficiency in C programming for embedded systems
• Experience with microcontrollers and/or microprocessors
• Knowledge of multitasking to create efficient, high-performance embedded systems
• Familiarity with Bluetooth (BLE) or CAN protocols
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities, thriving in both independent and team-oriented roles

Key Responsibilities

• Develop firmware for new products and maintain legacy systems
• Create embedded software using C, FreeRTOS, and ARM processors
• Overcome challenges in size constraints, low-power designs, and high-volume production
• Design software for engineering test fixtures and cutting-edge mobile applications
• Integrate Bluetooth technology into products for enhanced functionality
• Lead projects, taking ownership from concept through to manufacturing
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to drive innovation
