Job Title: Web Coordinator (Front-End Web Developer)

Location: 5 Point Church, Easley, South Carolina

Position Type: Full-Time

To achieve this, we are seeking a follower of Jesus Christ that is a talented Front-End Web Developer with experience in SQL and, ideally, familiarity with Rock RMS church management software.

Job Summary: The Front-End Web Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the church’s website and web-based applications. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills to create an engaging and user-friendly digital experience. The ideal candidate will have strong front-end development skills, experience with SQL databases, and preferably, a background in using Rock church management software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Website Development: Design, develop, and maintain the church’s website and related web applications using modern front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• User Experience: Create responsive and visually appealing web interfaces that enhance user experience and accessibility.
• Database Management: Utilize SQL to manage and interact with databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient query performance.
• Integration: Work with Rock RMS to integrate website features with church management systems, ensuring seamless functionality and data synchronization.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Monitor website performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements as needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with church staff and volunteers to understand their needs and provide technical solutions that support church activities and outreach efforts.
• Security: Implement best practices for web security and data protection to safeguard sensitive information.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to church staff on using the website and related systems effectively.

Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, jQuery, Less, Liquid).
• Experience with SQL for database management and querying.
• Familiarity with Rock RMS or similar church management software is highly desirable.
• Experience:
• Proven experience in web development with a portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
• Experience working in a church or non-profit environment is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Passion for the mission and values of 5 Point Church.

Additional Instruction:

• This is a church staff position. You will work closely with the Technology Director and the entire staff.
• Your objective will be to adequately serve the wants and needs of the church staff to fulfill the ministry of 5 Point Church.
• You will commit to serve in other capacities outside the scope of this job description to accomplish the mission and vision of 5 Point Church.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent work experience will be considered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
