Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Permanent Immigration Paralegal to join our legal team. This individual will play a pivotal role in the management and preparation of immigration cases. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in immigration law, have a keen eye for detail, and possess excellent document preparation skills. This role requires a commitment to confidentiality and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and manage a wide range of immigration cases including but not limited to employment-based petitions, family-based petitions, and deportation cases.
2. Draft, review, and file various legal documents such as petitions, applications, motions, and briefs.
3. Conduct legal research and stay abreast of the latest changes in immigration laws and procedures.
4. Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and documents, and keep them informed about the status of their cases.
5. Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information and legal matters.
6. Coordinate with attorneys and other paralegals to ensure smooth case progression and meet filing deadlines.
7. Organize, maintain, and manage case files, legal documents, and client records in an efficient and orderly manner.
8. Provide administrative support to attorneys including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing correspondence.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal, preferably in a law firm setting.
2. Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field. Paralegal certification is a plus.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of immigration law and procedures.
4. Proven experience in preparing and filing a wide range of immigration cases.
5. Exceptional document preparation and legal writing skills.
6. Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding legal ethics.
7. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
8. Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office suite.
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
