JOB SUMMARY Night Auditor is responsible for providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner during the overnight shift
(typically 11pm-7am) . Additionally, the Night Auditor is responsible for creating accounting and managerial reports and prepares for the next day's business activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Manage guest registration, reservations, and nightly check-in/check-out processes.
- Prepare daily reports, balance transactions, and conduct security inspections.
- Initiate and complete the End of Day process accurately.
- Run required Food & Beverage audit reports and ensure proper documentation.
- Complete the Night Audit checklist and verify all system procedures are followed.
- Balance daily financial activities, including revenue from movies, telephone, valet, laundry, and other transactions, along with paperwork from servers and desk agents.
- Uphold cashiering responsibilities in line with Front Office procedures.
- Ensure proper operation of the Front Office computer system in accordance with hotel standards.
- Execute all Front Office functions during overnight hours.
- Coordinate with the Midnight House Attendant to conduct routine building and corridor security checks, ensuring all areas are locked and secure.
- Respond to and resolve all guest requests and inquiries from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. promptly and professionally.
- Follow and enforce hotel safety and emergency procedures as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum 1 year of hotel or related field experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial data analysis.
- Proficiency in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address guest concerns and emergencies.
- Effective communication, decision-making, and adaptability under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and handle complex information efficiently.
